Hard to believe, but these are both the same person!

A letter from a coaching client

Dear Andy,

I am writing this letter to you in appreciation for the coaching and mentoring you have provided me with over the past eight months. We have addressed, made progress, and accomplished several goals that I had previously procrastinated. On my own, I always felt like I would eventually get around to working on my health, saving more money, and developing stronger relationships. With your help, I have taken action and have made significant progress in each of these three (extremely) important aspects of my life.

One of the reasons I enjoy talking to you about health, fitness, and weight loss is because I know you have accomplished so much in that area yourself. It is inspiring to see what you have done. I constantly find myself saying things like, “If Andy can do it, so can I.” This is especially motivating on the treadmill at the gym, where I consistently push myself to go a little faster, or a little further in my workouts. I also appreciate your helpful hints on eating better and keeping track of what I consume. Thus far, I have lost fifteen pounds and I can’t wait to reach fifty!

It has been easy to talk about my finances with you because I know you understand the Vector business inside and out and I don’t have to explain things in detail for you to empathize with me. You have helped me face my fears of looking at my credit report and taking action on improving my status. Also, in the past two months, I have comfortably set aside 40% of my income instead of squandering it away for lack of financial goals.

We have also spent a significant amount of time working on my people skills – helping me be more direct with people in particular. This has proven beneficial in my personal and professional relationships. Heidi and I are moving closer to getting engaged and it feels good to strengthen our relationship through clearer communication before taking that step. Work is going well and I am continually improving my ability to get my viewpoints and suggestions across to the people I counsel.

In general, I love the consistent theme you portray that I can attract anything I want in my life. I believe strongly in the Law of Attraction, but at times I find it hard to exercise. You have helped me realize that I have much more control over my life than I used to think. For example, last week I listened to 30 minutes of “The Secret” on my iPod while driving to Peoria to help my sister do some spring cleaning. I decided to think openly about how I can attract more income this year. Later than day, while going through some old papers and cards, I found a birthday card from my grandmother from 2003. Before throwing it away, I opened the card to find a $20 bill taped inside! This may seem small, but it is the type of thing that happens frequently when I am open to the idea of attracting more of anything to myself. Thanks again for all your help and I wish you continued success in helping people realize their dreams!

Sincerely,
Steve Roach

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Here is what a couple of people had to say about coaching with Andrew Kirschner:

In today's demanding world, it is often hard to keep your personal, vocational, social, family, physical, and financial lives in balance. Andy is a proven leader and has an outstanding ability to relate, teach, and most importantly motivate. Andy is one of the most compassionate people I have ever worked with. He truly cares about your success and happiness. I would highly recommend Andy to anyone who is looking for growth in all of these areas!

I love the fact I have someone to guide and help me with pursuing my dreams. Through my coaching sessions with Andy, I feel I have become much more clear with what I truly desire. But it's not just about knowing what I want; It's about taking the actions necessary to get me to the place I want to be. Andy is the coach I need to hold me accountable to the actions I commit to taking. So often in my life, I have had goals and dreams, but haven't done anything to reach them. By working with Andy, I find myself actually taking specific action steps to reach my dreams.

Since I started working with Andy, I have lost weight, I've had the best January program of my career, I am spending more time with my family, and I am developing more people than I ever have before (5 managers going out this summer). I have developed habits that are making my life much more fulfilling and enjoyable. I have joined a gym, I plan my schedule around my priorities, I journal and read, and I am much more proactive about seeking help and inspiration from others. Coaching has also helped me to become much more accepting of myself and feel more at peace with my life.

I invest in a gym membership because I care about my health. I invested in a college education because I care about learning and having opportunities for my future. I invest in an IRA because I care about my retirement and being financially secure. I invest in coaching because I care about becoming the best version of myself and living the life of my dreams.

Feb 2008 Message to Friends

Dear friends,

3 years ago, I weighed at least 295 pounds, my waist was over 50 inches, my body-fat percentage was over 33%, and I would loose my breath and sweat walking up even the smallest amount of stairs. Today, I weigh 195 pounds, have a 35 inch waist, reduced my body fat to 22%, and recently completed a 10K race (6.2 miles) in 50 minutes, 8 seconds (8 min 10 sec mile).

Today I weigh less than I did on my 19th birthday (11 years ago), and I am in the best physical condition of my life. The best part is, I am still working to hit my goal weight of 180 pounds.

We all made resolutions on New Year's Eve to get healthier, lose weight, or get in shape this year. Many of us have fallen off the wagon on these goals. Here are 5 tips that have worked for me to help get back on track to hitting that weight loss goal!

All of these steps are better helped with support. If you know some people that could benefit from these tips, please pass them along. Your support will mean a lot to them.

I have also attached a coupon for a FREE COACHING SESSION. Through coaching I have been able to improve my health, eliminate debt, find the perfect relationship, and discover my ideal career. I have been working as a leadership and personal development coach for almost a year now, and it is not surprising that my clients report the same benefits that I have gotten from coaching.

I have recently opened up a few slots in my schedule for new clients. If you know someone that would benefit from these types of results, please pass this along.

5 Tips To Get Back On The Weight Loss Wagaon

5 TIPS TO GET BACK ON THE WEIGHT LOSS WAGON!

1. DON'T GIVE UP!
We are only 6 weeks into the year, which means there are 42 left to go for you to hit your weight loss goal (even if it is a massive one). Try breaking down your goal. Rather than alarming yourself with your lack of progress towards your overall goal, start at zero from today and set a realistic short term goal for the next 4-6 weeks.

2. ADJUST TO A REASONABLE GOAL.
Most health knowledge out there is telling us that loosing and average of 0.5-2 pounds per week is the healthy way to go. Think about driving your car at 100 miles per hour. What feels more comfortable: stopping on a dime or coming to a slow stop over the course of a longer distance?

Our bodies need time to adjust as we loose the weight. You probably didn't put it on overnight, so it makes sense to take a little bit of time taking it off.

3. TRY A DIET THAT'S NOT A DIET!
Avoid crash diets and extreme diets that you won’t stick to for the rest of your life. Those types of diets are often successful in taking off weight quickly, but if you stop the diet, the weight comes back quickly. Try a program or diet of well balanced meals that gets your necessary fruits, vegetables, healthy oils, dairy, and water and takes on high calorie, high fat foods in moderation.

4. MOVE MORE!
Most research shows that to loose weight it is not necessary to sweat hard 7 days a week for 3 hours a day. Start small and build up to more activity as you feel more comfortable. Getting off the bus a few stops early, parking at the back of the parking lot, or taking the stairs over the elevator are easy ways to increase your activity without taking too much extra time. At a pace you are comfortable, work up to short walks in the morning or after dinner and eventually getting the gym membership to really get moving. Keep a log of activity each day and at the end of each week ask "What's one thing I could do to move more next week?"

5. WRITE IT DOWN!
Keep a daily journal about what you eat and how much. This has two great benefits:

1. Being aware of what goes into your body, will make you think twice before you go for that second bowl of pasta or that late night ice cream binge.

2. It allows you to see easy ways to cutting down what you eat. A pound of fat is 3500 calories, so to loose that each week, it is necessary to either burn it, or eat 3500 less calories (500/day). 500/day could be as simple as drinking diet instead of regular soda, light instead of regular beer, having carrot sticks instead of potato chips for your afternoon snack. List the snacks that you know are bad for you and use the endless supply of weight loss info on the web to find healthy alternatives.
